Julia Johnson, LMFT, Clinical Supervisor, EMDR Trained
Julia Johnson (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist and the Clinical Supervisor of IPTS. She finds her passion in helping others discover a better version of themselves. She has experience in working with couples, families, individuals, children, adolescents, and individuals with substance use disorders. Other experience includes working with individuals diagnosed with cancer and their families as caregivers. Julia has found a specific passion in working with couples to increase communication and navigate through life changes.
She uses systemic therapy to gain an understanding of each individual along with the dynamics of the family unit. Through this understanding, Julia assists couples in making improvements in their environment and relationships. She believes we all have the power within us to make positive changes. Julia is also trained in EMDR.
Julia graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with her Bachelor’s in Addiction Counseling in 2015 and continued her education there to obtain her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2017. Her experience also includes practicing as an Outpatient Therapist at Cummins Behavioral Health Systems to help individuals, couples, and families and facilitating groups for Substance Abuse. Julia is an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) member.
