    Ciara Hoover, (she/her)

I graduated with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University in 2022, and am committed to advocating for my clients in their mental health journey. My journey in psychology is fueled by a desire to serve a wide range of clients — from the innocence of childhood through the complex stages of adolescence and adulthood. Early in my career, I realized the profound impact of working with children affected by trauma, an experience that has significantly influenced my approach to therapy. By integrating cognitive-behavioral techniques with the uplifting principles of positive psychology, my goal is to nurture resilience, growth, and happiness in those I work with.

Specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, my practice is rooted in the belief that recovery must address both the mind and body, leading to a compassionate, evidence-based path to healing. I fervently support the Health at Every Size (HAES) model, which emphasizes size inclusivity, health enhancement, and life-enhancing movement, steering the focus away from weight and towards overall well-being. This approach creates a safe, empathetic space for my clients, encouraging genuine progress and recovery.

Additionally, I’ve expanded my therapeutic toolkit by training in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy at the Wellness Institute, offering a wider range of healing modalities to my clients. Under the clinical supervision of Dr. Jacqui Grantland, LCPC, I’m devoted to providing personalized, compassionate care that recognizes the individuality of each client’s journey.

I am currently welcoming new clients and can accept insurance from BCBS, Cigna, and Aetna, along with self-pay options.
