    Charity Dzieketey, LCSW-C, graduated from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work, in 2008 and earned a master’s degree majoring in Children and Families. She has over fifteen years of social work experience and over seven years of clinical work. As a clinician, she rendered professional services for hospitals, inpatient/outpatient mental healthcare facilities as well as government and private agencies. Charity’s extended services include children in foster and adoptive care, training and licensing potential foster and adoptive parents’ homes for placement, family preservation, crisis intervention as well as adult protective services and mental health counseling.

    Charity utilizes an integrative approach in mental health counseling and focuses more on psychoanalytic and cognitive behavioral therapy because she believes in treating the cause and not just the symptoms. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, anger management, post-traumatic stress, self-esteem as well as family and relationship issues. She works with people of all ages and is experienced in working with individuals, couples, and families.

    Charity is authentic, person-centered, culturally sensitive, and believes in meeting people where they are in the journey of life. She is easy to connect with because she has a heart for people, is tenacious and passionate about helping others enhance their quality of life. Her greatest joy is to help people navigate the challenges of life to become better versions of themselves. As a clinician, Charity’s mission is to fulfill her purpose and calling by being the bridge that connects people to their destinations.

    Charity is currently welcoming new clients and accepts insurance including United Health Care, GEHA, VA, as well as self-pay options.
