Brittanny Ryan is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field. She believes there is always hope for the future and that we all have the ability to make positive changes in our lives. And, with the help of others and time spent in self-discovery, the possibilities are endless. Brittanny welcomes the opportunity to come alongside you to help you identify your goals for change and growth.
Originally from St. Mary’s County, Brittanny earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. She trained to work with individuals and families from many different walks of life, has experience counseling children and adolescents, and is familiar with the challenges that affect military members and their families, based on her own experiences as a military dependent.
Brittanny is skilled in assisting clients with the challenges of grief, substance use disorders, PTSD, mental illness, self-esteem, self-harm, depression, anxiety, family dynamics, life transitions, and couple’s work. She tailors therapy techniques to clients based on individual needs using therapy models such as cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, person-centered, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and family systems therapy.
Brittanny is married and has two stepdaughters. Her interests include yoga, working out, and spending time with her family, including her Jack Russell terrier Whiskey. She also enjoys the beach, concerts, and traveling.
